About Me

Hi, my name is Thommy Barbeauld and I teach 8th grade US History. I have taught throughout Tennessee since 2010, and I've been at CMS since 2019.

I am a East Tennessee native, growing up in Chattanooga, TN but I have been in Middle Tennessee for the last decade. I went to the University of Tennessee, Knoxville to get my degree in History and Political Science. After graduating, I went back to pursue a Masters Degree in Education. Currently, I am working on my Education Specialist Degree (EdS) in Educational Leadership.

I enjoy coming to school everyday and working with the students. I love watching students grow, mature into young adults, laughing with them, and teaching them the complexities of our nation's history. My goal for my all students is that they continue to grow as people and to prepare them for high school.

When I am not in the classroom, I can be found on the football field where I am an Assistant Coach for our middle school team. Otherwise, I am outside playing with my two dogs. On Saturdays in the fall, you will find me dressed in orange cheering on my Tennessee Vols.

The best way to reach me is through my email [email protected] OR the Remind App.
