Principal's Message

Welcome to Cheatham Middle School, home of the Musketeers!

I’m honored to serve as principal of CMS, a role I began in 2024 after five years as principal of Pleasant View Elementary School. My journey in education began after serving in the U.S. Army, where I achieved the rank of sergeant. Following my service, I earned both my bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Austin Peay State University and began teaching in the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System in 2008.

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of teaching eighth-grade Social Studies and Math at Kenwood Middle School, teaching math at Rossview Middle School, and serving as an assistant principal at both Rossview Middle and Kenwood High School. Each of these experiences has strengthened my belief that students thrive when they are challenged academically, supported personally, and inspired to grow as leaders.

At CMS, our mission is simple: to create a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment where every student can succeed. We believe in the power of teamwork—students, families, and staff working together toward a shared goal of excellence. Whether in the classroom, on the field, or through the arts, we strive to prepare our students not only for the next grade level but for life beyond middle school.
