5th Grade Social Studies

Computer Science/STEAM

We will expand our ability to utilize computational thinking, not only while coding computer programs, but in our daily life.  Seeing patterns, developing step-by-step algorithms, and breaking down challenges through decomposition can make any obstacle in life much easier to tackle.

Using the great resources CMS has to offer, we can explore our abilities to develop projects that build our future.  Science, technology, engineering, art, and math come together beautifully in the creation of these projects by bringing us through the processes of idea-creation, experimentation, development, reassessment, and presentation. 3D printing, quick Lego robots, and much more await in the wonderful world of STEAM.

I grew up on the North Carolina coast before moving to Southern Maryland.

In 2016 I received my undergraduate degree with a major in history and a minor in education from St. Mary's College of Maryland. At SMCM I played men's soccer the four years I attended.

In 2017 I received my teacher's degree from Notre Dame of Maryland University.

I am super excited to meet you all!
