TAKE 2, Tutoring, Time-4-Time

We have made a few minor adjustments to make the TAKE 2 process more seamless for our students.

We have taken into consideration transportation issues for some of our students and have taken steps to ensure they have the opportunity to complete any make up tests/quizzes or retakes.

  • Tuesdays will be 5th & 6th grades designated retake days from 3-4pm
  • Thursdays will be 7th and 8th grades designated retake days from 3-4pm
  • Wednesdays beginning November 8th we will have a TAKE 2 time for all grade levels from 6:45-7:45am
  • Once a month grade levels will participate in an Academic Friday, allowing students to make up/retake any tests or quizzes and also missing assignments
  • Saturday School is available once a quarter from 8-10am.
  • The morning session of Super Fun Days (once per quarter) will allow students who are failing 1 or more classes to complete tests/quizzes and assignments

Take 2 forms have been updated and will now only be available for students to receive from their teachers.

The following steps need to be followed in order for students to participate in TAKE 2.

  • Students are required to get a TAKE 2 form from the teacher of the subject they need to retake/make up
  • Teachers will fill out the form what assignments/additional requirements the student needs to do in order to complete the TAKE 2.
  • Student will take the form home, parent/guardian will sign and the student will complete the required materials, then email the teacher that requirements are done
  • Once all required assignments/materials are complete the student will sign the form, then turn in to the teacher
  • After the teacher confirms that the additional/required material is completed, they will sign the form
  • Then the student will be ready for TAKE 2

Tutoring is from 3-4pm on Tuesdays & Thursdays (based on grade level, see below)

CMS will not be participating in TN All Corps for the 2023-2024 school year. Tutoring will be open to any and all students who need extra support in Math, English, Science or Social Studies. This is also a great opportunity for students to complete missing assignments.

All students who stay after school will need to be picked up in the front of the school by 4pm.

We understand that not every absence can be covered by a doctor’s note or parent note. If this is the case for your child, and you would like them to make up their unexcused absence they can do so in Time-for-Time.

Time-for-Time will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays for grades 5-8 from 3-4pm.

For Time-for-Time students attend they receive 1 unexcused absence back. For example, if a student has 5 unexcused absences and attend T4T 2 days they are then down to 3 unexcused absences.
