About Mrs. McClellan

Hi! My name is Mary Ashton McClellan and I am one of the English Language Arts teachers for CMS. I have a deep love for this school and this county, as it is my alma mater and where I was born and raised. 

 

A little bit about me: I graduated from Cheatham County Central High School in 2014. From there, I went to the University of Tennessee, Knoxville (GO VOLS & GO SMOKEY!) for my undergraduate degree. I am currently in the process of earning my masters degree from Austin Peay State University. Outside of school, I have a daughter, husband, and family that I love very much. We love camping, going to the beach, hiking to waterfalls, and watching way too many movies together. 

 

My love for ELA: I love to talk. I love to communicate. I love reading books (Harry Potter is my FAVORITE). I love reading other people's thoughts and writing my own. I am so excited to share that love with my students, instilling that love in them and educating them on how to be strong and confident in our work! We will read, write, and most importantly communicate and discuss all year long.
